KTU Shipyard - Tanjung Riau

KTU Shipyard is an Indonesian shipbuilder and ship repairer that has been in the marine industry since 1982, operating yards in Batam and Jakarta. Its Tanjung Riau yard in Batam, acquired in 2019 from PT. Britoil Offshore, is described as the group's most advanced facility, with four launchways from 30m to 100m, a 400-tonne KONE crane and a fully automated PEMAMEK 12m panel assembly line said to be the only one in Indonesia. Group-wide output covers tugboats from 23m to 32m, deck cargo, oil and crane barges, cement carriers and tankers from 5,000 to 6,500 DWT, alongside repair, refit, conversion and decommissioning work.

KTU Shipyard - Tanjung Riau

KTU Shipyard has been active in the marine industry for more than 30 years, beginning in 1982 as a marine workshop at Jalan Kakap in Jakarta before acquiring a yard at Marunda focused on wooden fishing vessels. The company built its first Batam yard at Sagulung in 2000 and Sekupang in 2005, and in 2019 purchased the Tanjung Riau yard, previously PT. Britoil Offshore. Tanjung Riau is presented as the group's most advanced production facility. KTU cites a record of some 2,000 vessels across six shipyards.

  • Transport equipment including hydraulic translifter (70t distributed load, up to 17.8m), Kalmar terminal tractors and a 16-wheel KAMAG elevating transporter rated to 523 metric tonnes
