Dubourdieu 1800

Dubourdieu 1800 is a French wooden boat yard at Gujan-Mestras on the Bassin d'Arcachon, founded in 1800 by carpenter Louis Dubourdieu and run by six generations of the family before being bought by Emmanuel and Béatrice Martin in 2000. The yard builds custom mahogany and teak motor launches from roughly 10 to 16 metres, including the traditional Arcachon pinasse and ranges such as Classic Express, Classic Sport, Picnic Sport, Picnic Cabin and Picnic Open. Alongside new construction it offers restoration of traditional craft, winter storage in a ventilated double-skin shed, brokerage of used Dubourdieu boats and boat rental on the Bassin d'Arcachon. The yard was awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label in December 2011, renewed in 2017.

Dubourdieu 1800

Founded in 1800 by carpenter Louis Dubourdieu as a builder of "tilloles" (rowed fishing boats), the yard passed through six generations of the family before Emmanuel and Béatrice Martin acquired it in September 2000 and renamed it Dubourdieu 1800. It describes itself as the oldest French shipyard and builds hand-crafted wooden motor boats in mahogany and teak, each one made to measure. The yard was awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label in December 2011, renewed in 2017.
