Astillero TAERA Ecuador

Astillero TAERA (TAERA Cía. Ltda.) is a privately owned Ecuadorian shipyard founded in 1964 that builds, repairs and maintains vessels for the fishing, tourism, cargo and industrial sectors. Its Guayaquil yard offers slipway haul-out for vessels up to 54 m length and 800 tonnes displacement, plus surface preparation and painting, plate renewal and welding, marine mechanics and a machine shop. Documented projects include cargo ships, shrimp and fishing boats, barges, catamarans and tourist yachts, with work such as hull plating replacement, propulsion and steering repairs, propeller balancing and beam widening. The company also extends its blasting, welding and machining services to industrial clients.

TAERA CIA. LTDA. is a private Ecuadorian company that has been building and maintaining vessels since 1964. Starting with canoes and tugs for the banana trade under founder Don Heriberto Durán, the yard went on to serve industrial fishing and shrimp operators, then the tourism vessel sector, and later added industrial services. Since 2014 it has been developing larger slipway facilities to serve a growing naval market.
