HJ Shipbuilding & Construction disclosed a contract worth around US$491M for four container ships on 22 Sep 2026. Shipbroking and market sources say Angeliki Frangou-led Navios Maritime Partners is behind the order, which points to vessels of about 10,100 TEU.
Greek market sources have identified Dynagas as the previously unnamed Oceania-based owner behind a four-vessel LNG carrier order at Samsung Heavy Industries worth about KRW1.41trn ($1.05bn). The contract covers four 200,000 cu m LNG carriers for delivery by September 2029 and marks a shift in yard for George Procopiou’s large-scale LNG newbuilding programme.
Samsung Heavy Industries has won contracts for six large vessels worth 1.65 trillion won, or $1.2 billion, from an Oceania-based shipowner. The order covers four 200,000-cubic-meter LNG carriers and two crude oil tankers, and takes the yard's commercial ship orders this year to $7.3 billion.
