WinGD has won a contract to supply four X72DF-M-1.0 engines for Polaris Shipping’s future Newcastlemax vessels. The engines will let the bulk carrier operator run the ships on methanol or ethanol, giving it fuel-choice flexibility across the vessels’ operating lives.
CMB.TECH reported first-half 2026 earnings of $733 million and said the tanker market could be reshaped by a wave of newbuild deliveries from 2027. Chief executive Alexander Saverys said around 370 VLCCs and 250 Suezmaxes are on order, with the combined orderbook above 30% of the existing fleet.
