KDC - Kynosoura Dockyard S.A. is a Greek shipyard on the eastern side of Salamis Island, about 3 miles from the port of Piraeus, active since the late 1960s. The yard carries out ship repairs, newbuilding on its slipways (passenger ferries and tankers) and ship recycling using a scrap shear plant. Work includes steel and piping renewals, machinery and propeller repairs, tank and hold coating, high pressure hydro blasting, crane maintenance, ballast water treatment system retrofits and conversion of single hull tankers to double hull. Services
- Ship repairs, afloat and on the slipways; steel renewals, plate renewals and mooring outfitting renewals by certified welders, with X-ray, vacuum and UT testing
- Piping works of all types (hydraulic and SW piping), steel and GRP pipes and fittings prefabricated into spools, with pressure testing
- Machinery repairs: main and auxiliary engine overhauling, crankshaft renewals (Daihatsu, MAN B&W, Yanmar among others), pumps, heat exchangers and re-tubing, air compressors
- Electrical works, including maintenance, rewinding and re-conditioning of electrical motors
- Propeller removals and repairs afloat; stern tube seal replacements afloat
- Coating and re-coating of ballast tanks, cargo tanks, holds and decks; grit blasting up to SA 2.5 and hydro blasting up to 2500 bar; scaffolding or cherry picker access
- Hatch repairs and crane maintenance, including slewing bearing renewals and mechanical/hydraulic crane repairs
- Ballast Water Treatment System retrofitting, including piping, foundations, supports, installation and cabling; ERMA FIRST and TECHROSS systems installed on bulk carriers
- Conversion of single hull tankers to double hull
- Condition Based Maintenance services: vibration monitoring, oil analysis, thermographic and ultrasonic analysis, performance evaluation and visual inspection
- Steel surveys, coating inspections, steel renewal calculations and repair supervision
- Shipbuilding on slipways (passenger ferries and tankers) and ship recycling

- Approximately 40,000 m² operational area with 250 m sea front and 5–13 m drafts, accommodating up to nine vessels
