Chidambaram, a First Class marine engineer and former Chief Engineer with Great Eastern Shipping Ltd, Chidambaram Shipcare describes itself as one of India's leading ship repair companies with over 37 years in the industry. The business is organised into a Ship Repair Business Unit (Chennai and Mumbai divisions) and a Ship Building Business Unit, and states it was the first Indian company in the marine industry to hold ISO certification, issued by Indian Register Quality Systems since 1996 (ISO 9001:2015 noted on the site).

  • Reconditioning and remanufacture: exhaust valve spindle/seat re-stelliting, shaft build-up by TIG welding and machining, cast iron welding and metallocking, reverse engineering of parts
