Skaramangas Shipyards and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries signed a memorandum of cooperation on 2 June during Posidonia 2026. The deal covers joint construction of surface vessels for naval and coastguard use, with an eye on the European market.
Skaramangas Shipyards took part in DEFEA 2025, the defence and security exhibition held at Metropolitan Expo in Athens from 6 to 8 May. The yard said its stand drew key industry contacts and was used to discuss future collaborations in the Greek and European defence sector.
Skaramangas Shipyards and UK-based SubSea Craft signed a memorandum of cooperation in Greece yesterday to develop a maritime innovation centre. The agreement also names Skaramangas as the selected builder of the VICTA craft for the Greek and European markets.
Greek defence chief Dimitrios Houpis and navy chief Dimitrios-Eleftherios Kataras visited Skaramangas Shipyards on Wednesday 30 October 2024. Yard executives briefed them on the yard’s progress and on work the yard says it can do for naval upgrades, modernisation and new orders.
Skaramangas Shipyards completed repairs to the shaft system on a 274.2-metre Suezmax tanker and delivered the vessel to its owners on time, the yard said. The ship arrived with its tail shaft seized in the aft stern tube bush and later completed its third special survey and sea trials.
