Oma Baatbyggeri delivered its newbuild Bnr. 550 M/S Dagning to Florø Skyssbåt AS on 25 October 2023. The 30-metre hybrid battery-electric cargo/passenger catamaran was ordered in March 2022 and is set up for 72 passengers and a 22-tonne trailer.
Oma Baatbyggeri delivered Bnr. 549 M/S Trym to Norled AS on 21 June 2023. The 30-metre hybrid battery-electric fast ferry is the second of two 30-metre cargo/passenger catamarans ordered by Norled in January 2022, after sister vessel Frey was handed over in January 2023.
Oma Baatbyggeri delivered Bnr. 548 M/S Frey to Norled AS on 26 January 2023. The 30-metre hybrid battery-electric cargo/passenger catamaran is one of two ordered in January 2022, with the sister ship due in May 2023.
Oma Baatbyggeri has signed a contract with Norled to convert the cargo/passenger catamaran M/S Lysefjord from diesel propulsion to fully electric operation. The 2006-built vessel will be fitted with Norled's battery swap system SHIFTR and rebuilt for route package 2 in old Sogn og Fjordane.
Oma Baatbyggeri delivered newbuilding 547, M/S Fjorgyn, to Norled AS on 19 May 2022. The 39.75-metre aluminium catamaran was contracted in March 2021 and will operate for the Directorate of Fisheries.
Oma Baatbyggeri has signed a contract with Norled AS for two hybrid battery-electric fastferries for route package 2 in Sogn og Fjordane. The yard also expects to sign a contract with Florø Skyssbåt AS for one further vessel, bringing the RP2 total to three boats.
Norled has ordered an aluminium catamaran from Oma Baatbyggeri for delivery in the first quarter of 2022. The 39.75-metre vessel will be yard build number 547 and will be used for fisheries control, clearing lost gear and collecting coastal data.
Oma Baatbyggeri delivered its building number 546, M/S Børtind, to Torghatten Nord AS on Friday 26 June. The 29.2-metre passenger catamaran has room for 147 passengers, a service speed of 32 knots and will be used on a speedboat connection in Nordland.
Oma Baatbyggeri has delivered M/S Fjordjarl to Norled, completing a three-vessel contract signed in 2018. The 39-meter passenger catamaran is the last of the sister ships ordered for the Tromsø-Finnsnes-Harstad route in Troms.
Oma Baatbyggeri has delivered building number 541 to Norled, the first of three 39-metre passenger catamarans ordered in 2018. Fjorddronningen was handed over on 15 October and is due to enter service on 1 January 2020 on the Tromsø-Finnsnes-Harstad route.
