Stevens Towing reefs former Navy torpedo retriever HAZAR off South Carolina
Stevens Towing completed the salvage and reefing of the 120-ft former Navy torpedo retriever HAZAR between August and December 2025 under an artificial reef project with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. The vessel had been in Bohicket Creek on Wadmalaw Island for four years and had expelled around 3,500 gallons of hazardous oil and contaminated water, the company said.
