Jim Fairlie MSP and Highlands & Islands Enterprise chair Angus Campbell visited Kishorn Port earlier this month, where KPL directors showed them the site and its Dry Dock. The visit included a presentation on the port’s future masterplan and a tour of construction works that the port said were in the final stages of completion.
Kishorn Port and Lairg hosted a visit from Northern Lighthouse Board coastal inspectors Jennifer Matthews and Adam Lewis last week. The pair toured the site, including the expanded dry dock and lay-down area, after meeting the port at a conference earlier this year.
Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal visited Kishorn Port on 13 May and toured the west coast site as work continued on a £42.2m expansion project. The development will enlarge the dry dock and reclaim land for concrete floating offshore wind foundations, with Highlands and Islands Enterprise investing up to £24m.
