VANPRAET Chantiers Navals du Nord
VANPRAET Chantiers Navals du Nord is a river shipyard at Villeneuve la Garenne, on the Seine just north-west of Paris, specialising in the repair, refit and construction of steel inland vessels. The yard handles hull work, conversions (terrace decks, superstructures, lengthening or shortening of hulls), propulsion mechanics, propeller supply and fitting, piping, joinery and regulatory upgrades, backed by its own design office. It serves both commercial operators (freight barges, pushers, passenger boats) and private owners of péniches and house-boats. The French branch dates from 1922, descending from a Belgian yard founded in 1727, and the business was taken over in March 2015.

VANPRAET Chantiers Navals du Nord is an inland shipyard on the Seine at Villeneuve la Garenne, close to Paris. The Belgian parent yard dates back to 1727 and the French subsidiary opened in 1922, developed by the Vanpraet family and later the Parienté grandsons; the yard was bought out in March 2015 and has since been modernising its production tools. - Hull work: doubling, insert plating, repairs to bottoms, bilges and side plating

- Welding by Bureau Veritas-approved welders on BV-classed units; non-destructive testing by dye penetrant and radiography
- Piping: pumps, valves, keel cooling, box coolers, ballast and drainage pumps, RIA fire mains for passenger boats, waste-water compliance
- Joinery, marine windows and portholes, insulation, electrical and plumbing work
- In-house design office for drawings and strength calculations; hull survey support, convoying and navigation-authority paperwork
