Servicios Portuarios Integrados (SPI Astilleros) is an Argentine shipyard group founded in Mar del Plata in 1976 that designs, builds, repairs, converts and outfits ships and naval artefacts. Its own engineering department handles structural, hydrodynamic, stability and piping calculations, 3D modelling and detail design, and the company reports roughly 100 repairs per year across its facilities. Built vessels include fishing boats, tugs, ferries, passenger craft, pontoons, dredgers and river barges for iron ore, hydrocarbons, grain, general cargo and containers. The group operates production units in Mar del Plata and Campana (Buenos Aires Province) and at Puerto Caleta Paula, Santa Cruz, through Astilleros Patagónicos Integrados (API).

Founded in Mar del Plata in 1976, SPI Astilleros describes itself as the private shipyard with the highest operational growth in Argentina in recent years, with more than 40 years in the national shipbuilding industry. It states it was the first company certified by Bureau Veritas Certification to ISO 9001 (now ISO 9001:2015) for the design, construction, repair, conversion and outfitting of ships and naval artefacts, and has also certified ultrasonic thickness measurement with NKK, Russian Register, Germanischer Lloyd and RINA. Its product and process department works to construction rules including ABS, Bureau Veritas, RINA, Germanischer Lloyd and NKK, and to Prefectura Naval Argentina plan requirements. The company reports that over 50% of its work has been performed for European and Asian clients.

  • Floating dock Mossdock 2000: 150 m x 21.8 m usable, up to 5,000 t, two 5 t travelling cranes, vessels to 120 m LOA
  • Floating dock Mossdock 1: 80 m x 13.6 m usable, up to 1,300 t
  • Floating dock Don Severino C (Campana): 45 m x 10.5 m usable, up to 450 t
  • Railway haulage at Caleta Paula: 60 m x 10.5 m usable, up to 800 t, plus 120 m fitting-out quay
  • 270 m fitting-out quay with power, potable water, compressed air, firefighting and grey water reception
  • Industrial hall (2021) 60 m x 20 m with two 20 t cranes; 10 building/repair berths; SPI ALNAVI barge series plant in Campana (22,000 m²)
