Island Spirit Manufacturing
Group Island Spirit Manufacturing Co. Ltd. is the boatbuilding arm of Group Island Spirit, producing Island Spirit sailing catamarans in Thailand. The brand entered the US and Caribbean charter markets in 1998, with more than 50 boats built, and production moved to Thailand in 2014; current models include the IS380, IS410 and the new IS525, offered with Yanmar diesel saildrives or a fully electric shaft-drive package. Boats are built in resin-infused FRP with PVC foam coring to CE Category A, and are configured for bareboat charter, day-trip operation or private cruising. The wider group also operates charter fleets, yacht management, charter-ownership and financing programmes from bases in Chonburi and Phuket.
Island Spirit Manufacturing
Group Island Spirit Manufacturing Co. Ltd. builds Island Spirit sailing catamarans at its facility in Chonburi, Thailand. The brand launched in 1998 with the Island Spirit 37, followed by the IS400 and, in 2003, the Amanzi Marine-redesigned IS401; over 50 boats were built and 35 sold in the United States between 1998 and 2006, with Sail Magazine Top Ten awards in 2001, 2003 and 2005. Production moved to Thailand in 2014, and in 2024 the company gave the IS410 a redesign, launched Hull #1 of the electric IS525 and opened a new manufacturing facility. The company states over 20 years of experience building recreational sailing catamarans and commercial power catamarans, and is unusual in also operating its own charter fleet.
