Ingalls Shipbuilding is a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) that designs, builds and maintains surface warships in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Founded in 1938 on the east bank of the Pascagoula River, the yard is the builder-of-record for Arleigh Burke class (DDG 51) guided missile destroyers and America class (LHA 6) large-deck amphibious ships, and the sole builder of San Antonio class (LPD 17) amphibious ships, with work also including Zumwalt class modernization and FF(X) frigate lead yard support. With more than 11,000 shipbuilders, it is the largest manufacturing employer in Mississippi and a significant employer in Alabama, and describes itself as the largest supplier of U.S. Navy surface combatants.

Ingalls Shipbuilding is one of three divisions of HII, America's largest shipbuilder. Founded in 1938 by Robert Ingersoll Ingalls Sr. on the east bank of the Pascagoula River, the yard began with commercial ships before moving to U.S. Navy work in the 1940s. Today it employs more than 11,000 shipbuilders and states it can build more classes of ships simultaneously than any other shipyard in America, having pioneered technologically advanced warships for the surface Navy fleet, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Marine Corps, and foreign and commercial customers.
