Everllence has signed a contract with a Turkish shipyard to supply 16 high-speed 175D gensets for four Rampage 6000-DE offshore terminal tugs.
Robert Allan Ltd. designed the vessels. They will be operated by Smit Lamnalco, a Boskalis company, in Guyana, South America. In the Stabroek Block, they will support an FPSO fleet.
Each of the four shipsets will carry four gensets. Two 12V175D-MEL engines rated at 2,280 kW each and two 16V175D-MEM engines.
The tugs will be used for towing, safety, logistics, dynamic positioning and maintenance duties.
